It’s not too early for a New Year’s Resolution! Most often these relate to our personal lives but why don’t we set New Year’s Resolutions for our life within the workplace?
As with all New Year’s resolutions, setting manageable goals and expectations is critical for success. Develop your plan for the year and follow through for a safe and prepared workplace environment. Personnel in charge of Health & Safety should set realistic and achievable goals for the year, and the time is now.
If you have thought about tightening up or expanding your emergency response procedures or training, begin by determining what you want to accomplish by year’s end, and what budget you have to apply towards your goal. There is a core group of training which will lay a solid foundation to begin your emergency response team program. From there you can continue to build on your foundation from a basic emergency response to more advanced levels including advanced medical response, disaster preparedness, and hazardous materials spill clean-up.
